Julie Yamane

Julie has been showing and training dogs for over forty years, twenty of those professionally. She began her dog obsession at age 10, when she began in 4-H with a Terrier mix who she eventually trained through utility. Since then Julie has trained and shown Golden Retrievers, Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Shetland Sheepdogs, Belgian Tervuren, and Pyrenean Shepherds. She is also actively involved with rescuing Corgis (www.coloradocorgi.org and www.allbreedrescuenetwork.com) and is a Tester/Observer with Therapy Dogs Incorporated.

 

 

Julie is an AKC approved Rally Obedience judge and Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and also judges ASCA (Australian Shepherd Club of America) obedience. She enjoys working with her dogs in many venues besides therapy dog work (conformation, obedience, rally, and agility) but her current favorite is competition herding.
